Our House is a passion project between Katrien Hendrickx, Mieke Verbijlen en Renilde De Peuter. Their common love for children’s art, nature, collecting, photography and play has inspired the creation of a picture book.
Our House serves as a metaphor for a safe place, a nest where creativity can flourish and inspiration is always within reach.
The book contains children’s drawings, paintings, bricolage works collected from several art schools and workshops, combined with travel photography, shoots on location and images inspired by art history and handicraft.
It’s a picture book that belongs to the dreamers, children, teachers, adventurers and finally to anyone who has ever spent some time in the sofa, recalling childhood memories of endless afternoons absorbed in play.
